For the domestic charging pile industry in China, March 21, 2020 is a memorable day.
On this day, Zheng Jian, Deputy Director of the Department of Infrastructure under the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that efforts will be accelerated to promote the high-quality development of new infrastructure including 5G, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and Internet of Things. In the future, more projects such as intelligent transportation, smart grid and smart city will be promoted in a coordinated way to build an infrastructure system that meets the development needs of the intelligent economy and intelligent society.
Different from "traditional infrastructure", new infrastructure refers to infrastructure construction based on the science and technology end, covering 7 industrial directions: 5G base station construction, new energy vehicle charging piles, big data centers, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, ultra-high voltage, intercity and urban rail transit.
Industry insiders point out that as one of the seven industrial directions of new infrastructure, the charging pile industry will embrace new opportunities under increased policy support.
Recently, the concept of new infrastructure has been mentioned many times.
On March 4, 2020, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee held a meeting to study the key work of current COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control and stabilizing economic and social operation. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to combine the resumption of work and production with expanding domestic demand, and speed up the construction of new infrastructure such as 5G networks and data centers.
On March 20, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the notice on promoting the accelerated development of the industrial Internet. The notice includes 20 measures in 6 aspects, among which accelerating the construction of new infrastructure is placed in a relatively primary position.
The outlet of new infrastructure has come, and the market pattern of the charging pile industry standing at this outlet may have changed quietly.
